Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a titanium oxide-adhered base material and curtain cloth, which method can form titanium oxide firmly on a base material with a homogeneous thickness regardless of the heat resistance of the base material and exhibits excellent decomposition activity in the decomposition of toxic substances. SOLUTION: Water is poured into a dyeing tank 1 of a processor, a base material 2 (wool fiber, or the like) is fixed on the processor in a shape of an endless belt, the base material is allowed to rotate, and the water is circulated by driving a circulation pump 5. Subsequently, a titanium complex compound (titanium potassium fluoride, or the like) which has been dissolved in hot water is poured from a pouring tank 6, and the aqueous solution is allowed to stand for 10 min to make it homogeneous. Subsequently, an organic acid (citric acid, malic acid, or the like) is poured from the pouring tank 6, and the mixture is allowed to stand for 10 min. After that, an alkaline agent (sodium hydrogencarbonate, or the like) is poured from the pouring tank 6, and the amount of the liquid is adjusted. Subsequently, titanium oxide is allowed to adhere while the temperature is being elevated, the liquid is cooled, and the base material is washed with water and dried to obtain the objective titanium oxide-adhered base material.
