PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial quartz crystal having a structure of an aggregate of an acicular quartz single crystal applicable to a light wave guide, other optical parts and laser oscillation element or the like i.e., an artificial quartz crystal having crystal structure similar to ulexite, and to provide a synthesis method of the artificial quartz crystal in order to synthesize the artificial quartz crystal excellent in optical quality having the structure similar to the ulexite. SOLUTION: The artificial quartz crystal is the aggregate of the acicular quartz single crystal by growing a quartz seed crystal in the direction of the Z axis on the Z cut plane of he quartz seed crystal, and the diameter of the acicular quartz single crystal is <=10 μm, and the aggregate has the structure made by growing many acicular quartz single crystal closely.
