Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-noise transformer that can reduce vibration-radiated sounds by efficiently intercepting the fixed propagation of vibrations, from the main body of the transformer to the side face of a tank. SOLUTION: This low-noise transformer has a body 1, an insulating medium 2, a tank 1 housing the body 1 and medium 2. The transformer also has reinforcing ribs 6 attached to the bottom face 3a of the tank 3. Above the foundation 7 of the transformer, in addition, the reinforcing ribs 6 are divided into central part reinforcing ribs 6a and peripheral section reinforcing ribs 6b and thin corrugated steel sheets 9 which are coated with damping paint 10 (or carrying stuck damping materials) are provided on the bottom face 3a of the tank 3 between the central part reinforcing ribs 6a and the peripheral section reinforcing ribs 6b. |
