PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection support service for a medical device used in a medical institution by utilizing a network system having a service-providing system, a medical institution service utilization terminal and a communication network. SOLUTION: A plurality of kinds of medical devices are stored in a database that the service providing system has, while the medical devices are associated with respectively inherent data. An image for urging a patient, to whom the medical device is applied to input the medical treatment information of the patient, is displayed on the service utilization terminal, and the service providing system receives medical treatment information of the patient held by the medical institution via the communication network. The service-providing system retrieves the database, on the basis of the received medical treatment information of the patient according to a selection standard, and a medical device fitting the selection standard is selected from among the plurality of kinds of medical devices. The information of the selected medical device is displayed on the service utilization terminal.
