Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To crimp connect a flat cable in proper posture. SOLUTION: A positioned crimp terminal 40 is pressed by a press mold 20 with a pressing surface 21 of which is bigger than the width of a flat cable 30. A relief hole of the terminal 40, a core wire guiding groove, and a guiding slope centering the flat cable 30 are formed on the pressing surface 21 of the mold 20. A bolt 14 mounted on a positioning plate 11 of the flat cable 30 is pressed by the mold 20 to make the flat cable 30 synchronously come down with the mold 20 without pulling, and crimp in horizontal state. After crimping, in order to maintain the height of the flat cable 30 as it is, a concave part 9a of a notch plate 9 mounted on the lower end of a slide axis 6 of a receiving plate 8 of the flat cable, and a plunger 1a at the side surface of a block 1, are made to engage. |
