Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter capable of reducing the cost by simplifying the manufacture and saving the material cost by the thinning of a valve seat. SOLUTION: This gas meter comprises an upper case having a gas inflow port and gas outflow port formed therein and equipped with a valve mechanism formed of the valve seat 27 and a sector valve 29 reciprocating to the valve seat to distribute a gas run through the gas inflow port to a measuring chamber; and a lower case having the measuring chamber having a measuring film reciprocating by gas pressure. A bridge 25 for partially blocking a gas outlet passage is provided on the lower case 3, and a pivotal shaft 30 for rotatably supporting the sector valve is fixed to the bridge.
