Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism of an article supply device capable of accurately performing a movement between process positions for supplying an article and positioning operation in the respective process positions and capable of coping even with supply of the article different in the size. SOLUTION: This driving mechanism is provided with a rotary table 3A attached with a part holding part 4 and supporting this part holding part 4 along a process passage for performing a process for supplying a part, a DD motor 3C for moving the part holding part 4 along the process passage by operating the rotary table 3A, a lifting board 3E and a lifting mechanism 3F for supporting a nozzle shaft 4B of the part holding part 4 so as to slide between two positions of the lifting position and a lowering position and a stepping motor 3Fa for vertically moving the nozzle shaft 4B by operating these lifting board 3E and lifting mechanism 3F.
