Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error detection mechanism which can reliably detect a feed error even if a shape of an article to be fed is small in an article feeder. SOLUTION: The feed error detection mechanism attached to an electronic component feeder 1 for feeding an electronic component P into a fitting hole 17Aa of an emboss belt 17A running along a runway detects that the component P is not completely fitted into the fitting hole 17Aa. It includes a feed error detection plate 17C movably placed at a position which is not engaged with the component P fitted into the hole 17Aa but is engaged with the component P which is not completely fitted into the hole 17Aa at a position close to the runway of the emboss belt 17A and an optic fiber sensor 17E for sensing that the plate 17C has been raised. |
