Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to prepare a proof for plate-making/printing of which the overall texture such as the reproduction of a color, the presence of a half tone, the glossiness, a sizzling feeling, a metallic feeling, and a color seepage is similar compared with a main printing. SOLUTION: This proof is obtained by performing an ink jet printing on the ink accepting layer of a plate-making/printing paper sheet on which the main printing is performed, or the paper sheet wherein the ink accepting layer containing a pigment and a binding agent is formed on the surface, and of which the whiteness and the glossiness are substantially the same as the plate- making/printing paper sheet.
