Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lapping agent giving no unfavorable effect on abrasive performance, having the same dispersion stability of abrasive grain with an alkylphenol added with ethylene oxides, and having almost no unfavorable effect on environment. SOLUTION: This aqueous lapping liquid contains as component (A) an abrasive grain dispersant represented by formula (1): R1-O-(R2O)n-H (wherein R1 is a saturated alcohol synthesized by the oxo method from propylene or an olefin derived from a butylene oligomer, or an alcohol residue obtained by dimerization of the alcohol, R2O an oxyalkylene group, and (n) is a number of greater than 1), as component (B) a lubricating base oil, and as component (C) water, and the aqueous lapping agent contains an abrasive grain in the lapping liquid. |
