Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing members for color filters by which color filters can be obtained with high precision at a low cost as a continuous method for producing members for color filters in which a continuously supplied web-shaped substrate is used. SOLUTION: The method for producing members for color filters has a step for continuously supplying a web-shaped substrate, a step for coating the surface of the supplied web-shaped substrate with a coating liquid for forming a photocatalyst-containing layer consisting essentially of the photocatalyst and a binder and having wettability varied in such a way that the angle of contact with liquid is lowered by irradiation with energy, a step for curing the coating liquid on the surface of the substrate, an exposure step for patternwise irradiating the resulting curved photocatalyst-containing layer with energy, a first ink applying step for applying a first ink to regions provided with affinity to the ink by the irradiation on the photocatalyst-containing layer and a first ink curing step for curing the applied first ink.
