PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a compound useful for the therapy of a morbidity mediated by prostaglandin D2, and a method and a kit for diagnosing CRTH2-PGD2 related disorder. SOLUTION: The identification method comprises contacting a CRTH2 sample with a PGD2 and measuring a coupling of the PGD2 for the CRTH2; contacting a same class of CRTH2 sample with both of the PGD2 and an suitable amount of a test compound and measuring a coupling of the PGD2 for the CRTH2; and comparing the results and determining whether the coupling of the PGD2 is influenced by a presence of the PGD2. The diagnostic method comprises measuring a CRTH2 activation level for a CRTH2 gene expression or a PGD2 dependence in a sample from a patient and comparing it with a value from a healthy individual. The diagnosis kit comprises in a container a PGD2 or its analog, a CRTH2 polypeptide, a nucleic acid for coding the CDTH2 polypeptide, or a cell for expressing the CRTH2 polypeptide.
