Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of carrying out an optimum printing operation in accordance with a printing state of printing data, a printing system and a printing data storage medium usable in these apparatus and system. SOLUTION: Printing data are stored as printing data files FA-1, FA-2 and FA-3 into a CF card 105, and at the same time, status information corresponding to the printing state of the printing data is stored as a printing data file FB. An operation of printing the printing data is controlled on the basis of the status information.
