Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device having a small reduction in the lubricant film thickness on a magnetic disk surface, and high sliding reliability between a magnetic head and the magnetic disk surface. SOLUTION: By adhering perfluoropolyether to the surface of a suspension, or impregnating a filter with perfluoropolyether, the perfluoropolyether is supplied to the surface of a magnetic disk by using heat and an air flow in the magnetic disk device. The perfluoropolyether contains a component having a molecular weight of <=4,000 by >=40%.
