Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dehydrogenated compound, by which a carbonyl compound and an aromatic compound can be produced by an environment-friendly hydrogen transfer reaction using a safe, nonpoisonous, easily recoverable, and repeatedly usable catalyst in safe and mild reaction conditions without using an expensive oxidizing agent. SOLUTION: This method for producing a carbonyl compound and an aromatic compound, utilizing a hydrogen transfer reaction in a system of a palladium catalyst with a simple olefin capable of being easily hydrogenated, preferably a Pd/C-ethylene system or a palladium acetate-vinyl acetate system. |
