Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a video system for broadcasting having video equipment for broadcasting, such as the video server, etc., a still picture file device, and a video processor which outputs the video signals outputted from the equipment and device by superimposing the signals upon another or one of the video signals by selectively switching the signal to provide programming previews when a still pixel material is used by more reducing the constructing cost of the system without increasing the number of channels of the still picture file device. SOLUTION: The video system for broadcasting is provided with a video signal generator which generates a prescribed video signal and a video signal switching device and uses the video signal from the video signal generator instead of the still picture video signal outputted from the still picture file device.
