Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking system for automatic traveling vehicle by which the storage capacity of a parking lot can be increased by parking an automatic traveling vehicle while shortening a distance between two vehicles. SOLUTION: Inside a garage (parking lot) 51, plural parking courses 35C1-35Cn being branched from one introduction course 35A for guiding a cart (automatic traveling vehicle) 1, which self-travels along a guideline while detecting this guideline are provided side by side in the garage 51, and plural carts 1 are successively parked on the respective parking courses 35C1-35Cn by a bumping preventing means so that a distance to the preceding vehicle can not become an equal to or shorter than a prescribed value. In such a parking system for automatic traveling vehicle, a parking control means is provided for reducing the operating level of the bumping preventing means in one cart 1 to a prescribed level when leading this cart 1 from one introduction course 35A to any one of plural parking courses 35C1-35Cn. Thus, since the distance between vehicles can be shortened by reducing the operating level of the bumping preventing means when parking the cart 1, the number of vehicles capable of parking on the respective parking courses 35C1-35Cn is increased and the storage capacity of the garage 51 is improved.
