Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new and effective fibroblast proliferation stimulator having high stability, and a skin care preparation and a bath medicine formulated with the same. SOLUTION: An extract of a plant of the genus Opuntia and/or a pressed juice of a plant of the genus Opuntia is found to have a high human-derived normal fibroblast proliferation stimulating action. Consequently, the extract and/or the pressed juice is applied as a fibroblast proliferation stimulator and is used also for a skin care preparation and a bath medicine.
