Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which the driving timing of a laser emittion means can be easily controlled to respond to a different I/F. SOLUTION: In a color image forming device forming a color image on a recording medium by performing optical writing by a laser beam emitted from a laser emission means, a plurality of image data interfaces provided in a space with a peripheral device, an image data interface conversion means (202 and 204) to convert the image data interfaces to an image data interface with the laser emission means (206) of the image data interfaces, and one control means (205) controlling the driving timing of the laser emission means are provided, and the control means (205) controls the driving timing of each of the laser emission means of a plurality of colors on the image data inputted from image interface conversion means (202 and 204). In other words, the driving timing of laser emission means of at least a plurality of colors is made common.
