Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for limiting reservations to other system by ensuring an entry number for internal reservation in compliance with the IEEE1394 protocol. SOLUTION: This recording/reproducing system is provided with a digital interface in compliance with the IEEE1394 protocol and registers reception of reservation of a broadcast program by an AV/C command from other system and reception of reservation in the inside of this system to a Bulletin board sub-unit by way of the digital interface. The Bulletin board sub unit uses information written in 'object entries maximum number' in its 'Information List Descriptor' for total number of reservation entries and the total number of reservation entries written in the 'object entries maximum number' can properly be revised.
