Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconcile improvement of starting performance by heating air swirl within a swirl chamber when starting cooling of an engine and improvement of combustion performance by allowing air swirl to forcibly and orderly flow within the swirl chamber when working and operating the engine. SOLUTION: At least one part of a peripheral wall surface 5 of a swirl chamber 2 is formed by a heat radiating surface 7 of a heat conducting tool 6. A heat radiating part 8 of a preheat plug 3 is brought into contact with a heat input surface 9 of the heat conducting tool 6 for heat transmission at the outside of the peripheral wall surface 5 of the swirl chamber 2. A material with higher heat conductivity than that of a metallic material composing a cylinder head 1 is used as a metallic material composing the heat conducting tool 6. Heat radiated from the heat radiating part 8 of the preheat plug 3 is transmitted to air swirl 4 revolving within the swirl chamber 2 from the heat radiating surface 7 of the heat conducting tool 6 via the heat conducting tool 6.
