SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire by dividing the shoulder rib into an outside rib of a tire width directional outside part from an edge abrasion progress checking narrow groove and an inside rib of a tire width directional inside part from the edge abrasion progress checking narrow groove by the edge abrasion progress checking narrow groove extended in the tire circumferential direction, the pneumatic tire is characterized in that when viewed in a cross section along the tire rotational axis, projecting parts are arranged on at least an outside rib side groove wall in the edge abrasion progress checking narrow groove, and when the height of the projecting parts is a (mm), the number of projecting parts is n pieces and the depth of the edge abrasion progress checking narrow groove is d (mm), n>=(d/3) and 0.5<a<5.0 are satisfied.
