Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router device which enables a manager to easily perform connection management and guarantees the communication quality of each connection. SOLUTION: This router device 1 decides communication quality requested in packet communication from protocol information, application identification information and priority information set in a received packet, transmits a control packet with the information of the decided communication quality set therein to the other router devices included in the same connection and meanwhile, applies such traffic control (preferential processing, etc., of packet) as to satisfy communication quality shown by the information of a transmitted or received control packet to the packet of the connection.
