Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyrotechnic composition having almost the same flame color effect as a conventional frame or cascade set firework lance, excellent in moisture absorption proofing and with little likelihood of protruding from a paper tube. SOLUTION: This pyrotechnic composition is produced by adding an oxidant (e.g. potassium perchlorate), an inflammable agent (e.g. sulfur) and a flame colorant or metal powder (e.g. aluminum powder) to the mixture of a liquid polymer (e.g. liquid polybutadiene), a hardener and an organic solvent (e.g. n-hexane) as a binder, mixing the whole mixture, then packing it into a paper tube, drying and hardening. The composition preferably includes 2-30 mass% rubbery polymer, 30-50 mass% oxidant, 5-15 mass% inflammable agent and 20-60 wt.% flame colorant or metal powder.
