Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow IP communication to reach a mobile unit that does not have a static IP address. SOLUTION: An originating terminal 1 transmits data with receiving server's address and sender's address included therein and then IP packet data to the receiving server 4 that has global address. The receiving server 4 inquires a location register 10 of a pertinent mobile unit and, if the unit is possible to receive communication, selects one of the IP addresses accumulated to temporarily allocate it to a mobile unit 9 and creates a table showing the correspondence between the mobile unit's telephone number and the allocated IP address, and notifies the mobile unit 9 of the IP address allocated. Data from the originating terminal 1 is transferred to the mobile unit 9. Subsequently, every time incoming data arrives, an IP address allocated to the mobile unit from the table is searched, and a destination address is rewritten to an applicable IP address with the mobile unit's telephone number being deleted for transmission to the mobile unit 9.
