Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inorganic fluorescent substance having high luminous efficiency and excellent luminous brilliance, ink for an ink jet printer, toner for a laser printer, to provide a plasma display apparatus, an electroluminescence apparatus, an active luminous liquid crystal apparatus, and to provide an image display method for enabling two or more displays at a same place by changing excitation light to be irradiated. SOLUTION: The whole of the constitution consists of: (1) an inorganic fluorescent substance comprising 30% or more particles having their particles sizes of not more than 1.0 μm in all the particles; (2) ink for an ink jet printer containing the inorganic fluorescent substance and toner for a laser printer; (3) a dispersing substance containing the inorganic fluorescent substance having average particle size of not more than 1.0 μm; (4) a plasma display apparatus, an electroluminescence apparatus and an active luminous liquid crystal apparatus containing the inorganic fluorescent substance having average particle size of not more than 1.0 μm; and (5) an image display method for enabling two or more displays at the same place by changing excitation light to be irradiated.
