Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure capacitance in proximity to the clip of the stator windings in a stator body, so as to detect any cooling water leakage in an early state and enable measurement of the capacitance on both sides of the stator windings at a time and the capacitance of the stator windings can be measured, even if the gap between the stator windings is filled. SOLUTION: The dynamo-electric machine inspecting apparatus includes measuring elements 4a and 4b for measuring capacitance and is provided with pinching means 3a and 3b, that pinch the stator windings 114b in the stator body of an dynamo-electric machine, when they are inserted in the gaps at the ends of the stator windings and press the measuring elements 4a and 4b against the stator windings, a control means for controlling the pressure for pressing the measuring elements 4a and 4b against the stator windings 114b, and a position adjusting means for adjusting the positions of measurement by the measuring elements.
