Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen flame-retardant polypropylene composition which is inexpensive, excellent in mechanical properties, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, flexibility and extrudability, suitable for extruded tubes, pipes, coated articles, etc., contains no cross-linking functional groups, and hence is recyclable and can be used e.g. for telecommunication cables, low-voltage electric cables, and low-voltage electric insulated wires for vehicles (e.g. automobiles). SOLUTION: This composition contains 100 pts.wt. olefin resin composition comprising 30 wt.%-100 wt.% amorphous polypropylene having a cold xylene soluble content of 20% or higher and 70 wt.%-0 wt.% elastomer and 50-200 pts.wt. flame retardant based on a metal hydrate and/or ammonium sulfate.
