Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bleaching agent for teeth having higher safety to the human body and a.shorter bleaching time without causing a chemical burn and to provide a method for producing the bleaching agent and a method and an apparatus for bleaching teeth. SOLUTION: This method for bleaching teeth comprises formulating a previously prepared mixture of an inactivated gelling agent 2 and a hydroxy compound 3 with a hydrogen peroxide solution 1 just before application to the surface of teeth S, applying a bleaching agent 1+2+3 thus formed in a gel-like state to the surface of teeth and irradiating the applied bleaching agent 1+2+3 with a laser beam at 2-4 μm wavelength by a bleaching apparatus 4.
