Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load on an operator, and to save wastes which accompany the recording of data, and to easily change various recording setting information and recording states even from a remote place. SOLUTION: A plant operation data monitoring and recording device 10 is provided with a recording control part 2, a recording means 3, and a data displaying part 4. Moreover, this plant operation data monitoring and recording device 10 is provided with a time-setting part 11 for setting the start and end times of collection for automatically recording plant operation data, and a time monitoring part 12 for monitoring the start and end time. When the start time is reached, a collection start instruction is outputted from the time monitoring part 12 to the recording control part 2, and the recording of the plant operation data is started. Also, when the end time is reached, a collection end instruction is outputted to the recording control part 2, and the recording of the plan operation data is stopped.
