Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a liquid crystal display thin to an extent that it can be mounted on an IC card and to devise arrangement and structure of a connecting part of a circuit board in a polymer film liquid crystal display so that defective connection due to deformation of the connecting part with circuit film is surely prevented. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel is formed by using a polymer film substrate. Electrical connecting parts for the liquid crystal display and an external circuits are intensively arranged in a narrow area when a liquid crystal panel is mounted on the IC card. The connecting parts amount the circuit boards and the external circuit film are intensively arranged on short sides of the IC card. The rear sides of the connecting parts amount electrodes of the liquid crystal display and the external circuits to perform display control of the liquid crystal display are covered by an optical member such as a polarizing plate, a reflection plate and a phase difference plate. |
