Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL(electroluminescence) device excellent in high temperature durability. SOLUTION: This organic EL device is obtained by forming an anode 2 comprising ITO(indium-tin oxide) or the like on an electrode substrate 1, forming an organic layer 3 composed of an organic EL material having a photoreactive group crosslinkable by reaction with ultraviolet rays, such as an acrylate group or a methacrylate group, on the anode 2 and forming a cathode comprising aluminum or the like on the layer 3 wherein a crosslinked structure is formed in the layer 3 by reacting the photoreactive group.
