Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and industrially producing a 4- substituted-1,2-benzenedithiol transition metal complex salt in a short time, high yield and high purity. SOLUTION: This method for producing a compound of a general formula 2 (R is a 2-12C dialkylamino group, a 6-12C substituted/unsubstituted aryl group or a 3-10C substituted/un-substituted cyclic amino group; A+ is a quaternary ammonium group, a quaternary phosphonium group or a dye cation; M is a transition metal) comprises stops for reacting a 4-substituted-1,2- dihalogenobenzene represented by a general formula 1 (X1 and X2 are each independently a halogen; R is the same as described above) with hydrosulfide in a polar solvent to convert the above compound to monothiol substance thereof, reacting the monothiol substance with sulfur and a transition metal to convert the above monothiol substance to a 4-substituted-1,2-benzenedithiol transition metal complex, reacting the resultant metal complex with a quaternary ammonium salt, a quaternary phosphonium salt or a dye in the presence of an alcohol. |
