Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with turning of an inner peripheral face of a cylindrical body, to make working efficient and to improve a yield of the cylindrical body in manufacturing the cylindrical body. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a counter die 12 of a roughly cylindrical shape, a constrain die 14 externally fitted to the counter die 12 and a punch 16 facing the counter die 12. A taper face 14 inclined by an angle θ from the direction orthogonal to an axis toward an advancing direction of the punch 16 is formed at a shoulder part 22 of the counter die 12. In this case, the angle θis selected in a range of θ<=45 deg.. Further, the taper face 24 is formed so as to satisfy d1<d2 provided that an outer diameter of the punch is d1 and an inner diameter of the taper face d2. Thus, an annular gap part 26 is formed between the constrain die 14 and the taper face 24.
