Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of CD media, particularly a CD-RW disk, by solving the problems of the usual technique and to stably supply the CD-RW disk to the market. SOLUTION: This phase transition type optical recording medium is obtained by laminating at least the first dielectric layer 2, a recording layer 3, the second dielectric layer 4, a metallic reflection layer (a reflection and heat radiation layer) 5 and, if necessary, an overcoat layer 6 successively on a disk-shaped substrate 1. The film thickness distribution of the layer 3 has such a shape that the center is recessed in comparison with the inner and outer peripheries. |
