Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-line settlement system and a settlement substituting server capable of carrying out settlement processing with various configurations for a user. SOLUTION: Each server provider (90) is provided with various settlement means (80), and the settlement processing of a price is substituted by the settlement means corresponding to the server provider (90) being the purchase destination of a user (50) instead of the user (50) by a settlement substituting server (70). Then, the settlement processing of the price to be settled by the settlement substituting server (70) instead of the user (50) is performed between the user (50) and the settlement substituting server (70) by a settling means (44) preliminarily set between the user and the settlement substituting server.
