Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of stabilizing the triboelectrification of developer and stably obtaining a good-quality image for a long time without lowering toner concentration in the developer by removing low triboelectrified toner even in the case of using two-component developer. SOLUTION: A low triboelectrified toner removing member 30 consisting of a conductive member is rotatably pivotally supported on the downstream side of the draw-up pole N2 of the developing sleeve 3 of the developing device. DC bias or DC bias on which AC is superimposed is applied between the sleeve 3 and the member 30. The developing device is provided with a scraper 31 to scrape the toner adhering to the member 30, and it can be equipped with a container for storing the scraped toner and further a screw for discharging the toner recovered to the container.
