Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an inter-stage seal holding device between stages and an assembly for attaching a inter-stage turbine seal between stages to a nozzle or a vane assembly of a gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: A pedestal assembly 110 extends from a central portion 92 rearward to be positioned at a rear of a central tab. The pedestal assembly 110 has semi-annular cylindrical inside surfaces 114 and semi-annular cylindrical outside surfaces 116, which draw up boundary surfaces around a bore axis 89. The outside surfaces 116 extends between radially inside planner portions 120 which are spaced from and parallel with each other, and radially outside planner portions 122 which are spaced from and parallel with each other. The radially inside planner portions 120 are disposed on the same plane. The radially outside planner portions 122 are disposed on the same plane. Chamfered portions are formed along the radially inside planner portions 120 and the radially outside planner portions 122.
