Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of making a mechanism complicated because the mechanism for opening/closing-driving a shutter is assembled in the case of forming a view window at the casing of a device and opening/closing this view window with the shutter, and that the complicated mechanism causes a fault. SOLUTION: The viewing window 14 for confirming the reading position of an original 15 through a reading window 16 for demarcating the reading area of the original 15 is formed between operation buttons 12a, 12b and the gripping part of the casing 11 of the device. In the reading operation of the image of the original, the window 14 is covered with the finger of an operator to prevent diffused external light from entering the inside of the casing 11 through this window 14.
