Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system performing transmission delay time control by which the signal transmission efficiency of an incoming direction channel can be improved by optimally setting a correction time at which the transmission timing of each terminal equipment without giving a redundant time on the basis of a measured transmission delay time in order to avoid collision of transmission signals on the incoming direction channel. SOLUTION: A central device applies initialization and a delay measurement instruction to the terminal equipment to be measured by using a polling slot P. The central device also starts to count a delay measurement counter from the position of a preliminarily defined communication slot S2. The terminal equipment transmits a response carrier to the central device at the position of the communication slot S2 instructed from the central device. The central device detects the response carrier transmitted from the terminal equipment and stops counting of the delay measuring counter. Thus, the central device can calculate a reciprocative transmission delay time between the central device and the terminal equipment.
