Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil bobbin around which a conductor constituting a coil component can be wound stably at regular intervals and the coil component using the coil bobbin. SOLUTION: The coil component 2 is provided with the coil bobbin 1 having a winding drum 10 on which a plurality of grooves 11 are formed, and the conductor 40 which is wound around the winding drum 10 along the grooves 11 and has a circular cross section. The distance (d) between the centers of adjacent grooves 11 is set to meet the relation of 2.5r<=d<=3.5r (where, (r) is the radius of the circular cross section of the conductor 40).
