PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable extra length winding-up device for sound insulating panel drop prevention capable of neatly and compactly storing the extra length part of a cable with a simple structure and developing a drop preventing function by automatically paying out the extra length part if required. SOLUTION: This device for storing, until required, the extra length part 42 of an insulating panel drop prevention cable 4 having the lowermost part left as an extra length part 42 comprises a disk 7 rotatably supported on a sound insulating wall structure, a temporary fixing means 8 for stopping the rotation of the disk 7 until required, a through-hole 72 for allowing the disk 7 to pass through the extra part 42, and a drum part 71 communicating with the through-hole 72 for dividing the extra rope length part out of the through- hole into two parts and for winding up in the same direction for storage.
