PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven or knitted fabric which imparts excellent elasticity to a worsted like woven or knitted fabric, does not have a glaring appearance, has a lightweight feeling and a repulsing feeling, and also has a new material feeling and a high stretching function. SOLUTION: This woven or knitted fabric contains false-twisted structure processed yarns to which real twists having a twist coefficient of 7,000 to 36,000 have been applied and having the following characteristics. The cross-sectional porosity of the non-interlaced portions of the processed yarn is 65 to 85%. The processed yarn has a cavity having a porosity of 15 to 35% in the center of the cross section. The core yarn constituting the processed yarn comprises hollow side-by-side type conjugate filaments. The processed yarn has a twist structure in which the twist angle of the core yarn is smaller than the twist angle of the side yarn. The processed yarn loosed from the woven or knitted fabric has an elongation of >=25%, and a recovery of >=80% on a 25% stretching.
