Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene adhesive tape subjected to a treatment that prevents the breakage or an excessive elongation and necking, when the tape is stretched or wound. SOLUTION: The polyethylene adhesive tape, whose base material is polyethylene, is subjected to a non-necking treatment on the base material to give properties (i)-(iii): (i) it has a stress at the yielding point of not less than 10 N/cm at not more than 50% of extension deformation; (ii) a deformation break occurs at 80-500% of extension deformation; and (iii) The extension stress between the yielding point and the deformation break gradually decreases with the increase in extension deformation. |
