Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic electroluminescent device which is high in luminosity, superior in linearity of gradation control and facilitates optimization work of its drive conditions. SOLUTION: It is the organic electroluminescent device that has an effective light emission ration of 80% or more. The effective light emission ration is defined as a ration of an ideal light emission amount that is expressed as a product of the maximum of light emission intensity within a light emission time and the light emission time that is a time length from a light emission start time in one pulse light emission to a light emission end time, to the real light emission amount that is actually emitted.
