Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a battery, comprising a plate metal porous material, having a three-dimensional continuous space and an active material filled in the space, to a portion of which a metal current collecting plate is resistance welded, having lower internal resistance, while improving the tensile strength of a current collecting plate welded portion and preventing the removal of the metal current collecting plate. SOLUTION: The electrode comprises the plate metal porous material, having the three-dimensional continuous space and the active material filled in the space. The metal current collecting plate is resistance welded to the portion thereof, where only the active material is eliminated by the ultrasonic vibration of a ultrasonic separator consisting of a ultrasonic horn and a vibrator. The ultrasonic horn is formed into a polygonal or circular cone.
