Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding work method capable of manufacturing a non- axisymmetric aspherical mirror having high shape precision and excellent surface roughness and capable of precisely reflecting or converging light in a short period of time and with high precision. SOLUTION: An electrolytic inprocess dressing device 10 to grind and work a workpiece 1 while dressing a grinding wheel by electrolysis as well as having a disc type metal bond grinding wheel 2 having a circular arc surface 2a of a radius R on an outer edge while rotating around a shaft center Y as its center, a rotary truer 12 to true the circular arc surface 2a by rotating around an X axis orthogonal with an axis of rotation Y as its center, a shape measuring device 14 to measure a circular arc surface shape of the grinding wheel and a working surface shape of the workpiece 1 on the device and a numerical control device 16 to numerically control the grindstone in the three axial directions of X, Y, Z are furnished, and truing, grinding work and measurement on the device are repeated by moving the grindstone in the three axial directions by the numerical control device 16.
