Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more cost reductive and more gas seal improvable cylinder head gasket than a prior art such as continuous welding or multiwelding, with reduced heat deformation of the shim and the blade itself. The gasket is also more applicable to the engines of the higher combustion temperature than the traditional gaskets of the plastic shims. SOLUTION: This cylinder head gasket 1 is provided with a blade 1', an annular groove 5 surrounding a combustion chamber 2 bored in the blade 1, a metal shim 3 internally fitted into the groove 5, and a full-bead 4 projecting into the same direction of the shim 3 outside of the shim 3. The above shim 3 is seam welded to the blade 1. |
