Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin polarizing plate which contributes to the thickness reduction and the weight saving of an LCD, etc., by providing the polarizing plate good in humidification reliability even in the case of making the polarizing plate thinner. SOLUTION: A film of a sample (4) for protective layers saponified by the sodium hydroxide aqueous solution to one side of a polarizer and a film of a sample (2) for protective layers saponified by the sodium hydroxide aqueous solution to the opposite side are stuck to manufacture the polarizing plate. The sample (2) is the thickness 40 μm TAC film and has moisture vapor permeation rate 0.06 (g/cm2.24 h). The sample (4) is the film forming an ultraviolet curing type urethane acrylate system resin layer with the thickness 4 μm to the TAC film with the same thickness 40 μm as (2) as a moisture barrier and has moisture vapor permeation rate 0.008 (g/cm2.24 h). |
