Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide as suction tool for vacuum cleaner capable of redacting noise generated from a rotary brush rotated by a motor, and to provide a vacuum cleaner using the tool. SOLUTION: The rotary brush 19 is rotatably provided in a suction tool main body so as to face a suction port 27 opened at the lower surface of the main body 18. The brush 19 is constituted so that the motor 30 for rotationally driving the brush 19 and a decelerator 31 for decelerating the number of revolution of the motor 30 are arranged inside a nearly cylindrical brush holder 28 provided with plural brushes 29 on its outer peripheral surface and the outer peripheral parts of the motor 30 and the decelerator 31 are covered with a sound insulation cylinder 37, thereby making noise silent.
